who doesn't love new york??

ryan took me to new york for my birthday! new york in the fall is gorgeous. the trees are colorful, the air is crisp, and new yorkers love showing off their new a/w fashions! our first stop was shopping and lunch in soho. we ate at manhattan bistro and i finally got to see the new topshop!!

our next stop was 5th and central park. the meeting place for our "sex and the city" tour.

yup, i said it. it was so much fun. here are some of the places we visited...

magnolia bakery for brownies and the most amazing cupcakes i have ever tasted!! we ate them in the park were they serenaded me with "happy birthday"!

after the tour we roamed around bryant park and waited for ryan's friend for dinner. this was the closest i'll get to a fashion show.

finally, dinner at el cantinero and then home. it was an amazing birthday!

it's my birthday!

today i'll be celebrating in nyc with ryan. i can hardly wait! i'll be back in the store on friday for a 20% off vintage sale!!

one of my favorite things about reading people's blogs is getting inside to see the "real" them. whether it's a glimpse of their home, pictures from their last soiree, or a peek at what they wear... i love to know. ok, so here's my attempt to spice up my blog. here goes nothing...

old time store, big city

beauty land is one of my all time favorite beauty supply stores. i love their pink exterior and all of the "oldie, but goodies" they carry. i could spend hours in here. every time i go i spray a little ysl's paris to remind me of my mimi in florida. today i picked up some lash glue, but will return soon for marc's new lola scent. lovely!

for the first time ever i went to the pumpkin patch to pick my very own pumpkin for carving! we took a hay ride out to the patch and scurried around for the perfect one. it was a beautiful fall day.
