the royal treatment

leslie and i went to the royal tavern last night for some drinks and some good girl talk. it seemed like the only place in the city that had somewhat of a crowd. where is everybody!?!

ok, so here are the pomegranate sangria cocktails we slurped up last night. i kept ordering it just to get those booze infused cherries sitting on the top. they were so good, the server must have noticed and brought more... a cupful!



silly. this was her idea. i swear. i love you, leslie, and your funniness!

tea party anyone?

it's saturday morning, but it sure feels like a sunday. something that would really make me feel good today would be having some close friends over, dressing up in tulle and organza, and having a tea party! we would munch on cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches cut into triangles with the crusts cut off. we would endulge in big frothy desserts like cup cakes, petite fours, and chocolate covered cherries. we would sip hot tea from vintage floral tea sets. in a perfect setting our pets would be guests and they'd sit at the table, nibble on scones, and frolic around us. note: must invite someone who has a bunny!

ricordo prima comunione - first communion keepsake

one of the many things my mother saved from her childhood is this keepsake book she received during the time of her first communion. the prayers are in italian and translate beautifully. during the years my mom has kept prayer cards stuffed inside its pages in remembrance of those who have passed on. the cards, like the book, are old and place very special meaning in her heart. here are a few really beautiful prayers and cards.

the "hail mary" is a meaningful prayer for me. it is the first prayer i learned in italian and one thing my grandmother and i can say together that we both fully understand its meaning.

fall is in full effect. the thermostat read 28 degrees when i left my home this morning. it can be difficult to remain true to fashion in frigid weather like this. here are a few fall/winter 08' ads that may help reinspire you. i have say the hermes and chanel ads are my favorites. enjoy!

sticky and sweet

madonna came to philadelphia last night and since i haven't missed a show yet, i made it a point to go. i took a few pictures from our seats. before madonna came out she had a dj mix us a few songs. the show was great as always.



madonna never misses an opportunity to poll dance.

here she sang an updated version of "borderline" which was one of my favorite parts of the show. my other favorite part was when madonna look-a-likes came out and she sang "she's not me" to them, tore off their wigs and strangled another.



we had so much fun. the show seemed like it ended too quickly.
