this past weekend my friend threw a joint birthday party for me and two other scorpios. it was a day of the dead themed birthday party filled with sugar skulls, home made margaritas, catered tacos, mexican chocolate cupcakes, great music, and a pinata!! the night was perfect and beautiful.

the week also included taking dugan to the lake for a swim, curling up to the kardashian wedding on E, and packing for free people's next photo shoot in LA!! we are leaving sunday to shoot part of our january catalog.

we featured some of the new clothes from our e book in today's live stream fashion show. i dressed up in free people's laguna coast pull over, stone cold fox margarita shorts, and heyoka turquoise warrior necklace.

she sells sea shells

today i am wearing a necklace i made from sea shells collected from florida when i visited my grandmom as a little girl and the larger white one was given to me. ryan took the shells to work and drilled some tiny holes into them. i found some neon string and tied them together. i think it's perfect for summer days.

ruby was in our web studio today. we had fun styling her for web, because you can't take your eyes off of her magnetic personality. she listens to metal and has her i pod plugged in where ever she goes. ruby's the girl everyone wants to be friends with.

you inspire me, spring

here are a few things that caught my eye this week and have me wanting more.

i'm always a sucker for turquoise in the warm months. i just picked up the ring on the left at a local motorcycle shop. i can't get enough.


my view at the navy yard... i love watching the ships pass by. there are times i have to remind myself we are still in philadelphia.

we went bowling for a friend's birthday. i actually wanted to keep the shoes for once.


the weekend ended with ice cream in the setting sun. it felt like the perfect week to kick off an amazing summer.

we just shot our march catalog in puerto rico! it's one of our larger catalogs, so we shot it in two parts. the catalog was shot by one of my favorite photographers, guy aroch. the two beautiful models we dressed were alina baikova and aline weber. these are the behind the scene photos, part 1: the beach.

sunday morning goodness

stopped for a peppermint mocha coffee, one of my favorite holiday indulgences


and then headed to the golden nugget flea market. it was freezing, but i managed to find some fun turquoise.

i think the vendors are better in the summer, but it was still fun to walk around. people were really anxious to sell their goods, because it was so cold. i got all of my rings for half off.

seems like blue was popping up all day... i'm showing off my rings, but these knit pants are the perfect shade of blue.
